Campaign Notes
Urgathoa's Significance
Not Common Knowledge: The following information about the Urgathoa cult is not public knowledge. New characters would have no reason to know this unless they have specifically encountered the cult or its clients.
In our campaign, worshippers of Urgathoa include a secretive Consciousness Transfer Cult - practitioners who use ancient rituals to transfer consciousness between bodies, achieving a form of immortality. The most notable client is "Morty Barbarus" of the Barbarus Fleet, whose consciousness has transferred through 47 different bodies over centuries. The Dicks discovered this truth during Campaign 1.
Triune and Technology
Triune's influence is felt throughout the galaxy through the Drift - the hyperspace dimension that enables faster-than-light travel. Drift beacons, maintained by Triune's followers, mark safe routes through this dimension.
Atheism in Starfinder
Atheism is a more viable philosophical position in Starfinder than in traditional fantasy settings, as many spacefaring cultures have developed secular worldviews. The presence of the Gap - a period where all memory was erased - has led some to question whether the gods truly existed before this event.
